What Can I Play Without PS Plus?

When first starting to use a home console from Sony, the player asks a lot of questions. One of them: what games on PS4 can be played without a subscription, and is this provided at all?

Multiplayer in most video games is available on the console with PS Plus. The solution is driven by infrastructure support, server maintenance costs, and a lower end-user device cost.

Chopping into Battlefield V or the online modes of the fresh  Call Of Duty ‌  will not work without a paid package, only in a single player campaign. If you look at the console from Microsoft, there all the games work online after you pay for Xbox Live Gold.

What about Sony? The Japanese turned out to be more far-sighted in this matter, so arbitrary Free-to-play (Warframe, World of Tanks, Fortnite) on PS4 can be played without a subscription, there are no restrictions.

PlayStation promotion

PlayStation recently announced a new promotion. This weekend - December 18 and 19 - no PS Plus subscription is required to access online multiplayer on PS4 and PS5. The company announced this on its twitter account.

It will be possible to play in multiplayer any game that the user already has. The promotion will start on December 18 at 00:01 and end on December 19 at 23:59 Moscow time. To access online play, of course, you need a PSN account and an internet connection.

A free weekend will come in handy for many players as a major GTA Online add-on is coming soon. Also, do not forget about the action from Activision - from December 16 to 21, Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer and zombie mode can be played without paying a penny.

Best PS4 Games You Can Play Online Without PS Plus

While PS Plus is usually a prerequisite to playing online multiplayer, there are significant exceptions to this rule. Most of the free games allow people to enjoy online multiplayer matches without the need to be an active PS Plus subscriber. If you're wondering which games fall into this category, here's a list of the best online games you can play without PS Plus.

Warzone is a new free-to-play  Call Of Duty ‌  game with two modes: Battle Royale and Plunder. In Battle Royale, up to 150 players compete for that coveted spot for first place, while Plunder takes the lead in the $ 1,000,000 player race. Regardless of which mode the player wants to choose, Warzone does not require a PS Plus subscription.

Monster Clash: Fearless

Do you love royal games? Dauntless brings the Monster Hunter experience straight to PS4 for free. Fight the Behemoth monsters on the Broken Isles alone or with friends, and level up your character to fight even more formidable beasts.

Respawn Entertainment drove Apex Legends out of nowhere, and it quickly became a worthy competitor to Fortnite, proving that you don't have to spend millions of dollars on marketing to launch a hit. Improve each character class or stick to your loyal main in this squad battle royale.

Build & Battle: Fortnite Battle Royale

Fortnite is arguably one of the most played games - by far one of the most played this year - and best of all, it doesn't require a PS Plus membership to play. You can jump into his new chapter and get into the craze for yourself. Shoot, build, fish and catch your way to victory.

Final Fantasy: Final Fantasy XIV

Here's an exception to the Free-to-Play rule. Final Fantasy 14 is a subscription-based MMORPG set in the Final Fantasy world where you can play online with your friends without PS Plus. This is because the game runs on Square Enix servers. Immerse yourself in a world of magic, technology and epic stories.

Like Titanfall, you can control an imposing mechanism to strike at Hawken's battlefield, the 2016 shooter. Who doesn't want to make their childhood fantasies about the Voltron or Megazord come true? You don't get those exact 'Mechs (fucking licensing), but you get the next best thing.

Comic Legends: DC Universe Online

We're still not sure what's going on with the DC division at Warner Bros., but its video games are gaining ground. In DC Universe Online, you can play as some of the most iconic heroes and villains in history, such as Superman, Lex Luthor, and more, in 2013's massive multiplayer online game.
